Product Design Project
This is a product design that I have been working on for a course at my university titled PSYC 330: Cognitive Science where we learn about human centered designs and the foundations behind cognitive science.

In this product, I have been tasked to think of a pain point that I have in my life, and brainstorm and prototype a solution for it using the BeAM Makerspace tools available to me (such as 3d printing).

Along the way, we create 4 deliverables that go through phases of a low fidelity prototype, creating user personas, collecting user feedback, and optimizing opportunities to improve so that our final prototype can be produced.

In the images to the right, I have displayed my slide deck!
Low-fidelity prototype presentation:
The slide below showcases a quick design that I had thought of for pill-holding jewelry and the key characteristics I want included in my design. It is created from modeling clay.

User persona
We learned about creating a user persona and researching about pain points. In addition, we learned about the key portions that should be included in a user persona such as basic relevant traits of the persona, pain points and goals, and a bio that showcases the painpoint in their life.

Proposed tools to use
This is a short write-up on what I plan to use in the BeAM Makerspace for a higher fidelity prototype, since of course modeling clay will not be the final product :)

User feedback and analysis phase
In this phase, we gathered feedback from others including our target user from our groupmates, friends or family, and some research on the particular pain point. From this feedback, we synthesized key points we want to take into consideration for our final prototype.

Opportunity for Improvement
In this slide, I listed a few of the main issues detected from the user feedback and proposed solutions for them. I'm so excited to have such innovative and responsive feedback to improve!

Final Prototype: TBD!
I am still currently working on the final prototype for this course :) ETA: May 2023
